ESSENTIALS NEEDED TO HAVE A RELAXING SPA DAY AT HOME

Due to COVID and where you are currently residing, you may still be stuck inside (like me). I miss going to the spa and I am sure you do too! So I’ve built out a list of what I do when I need a relaxing spa day at home!

CANDLES

No better way to set the mood than with a good smelling candle! As soon as you walk into the spa, your sense of smell perks up! So now’s the time to light your favorite candle! Looking for a new candle recommendation? Check out my favorite candles!

ROBE & SLIPPERS

You ALWAYS have to dress the part! So get on your cozy robe and slippers to really make you feel relaxed! Looking for a new cozy robe? Check out my favorite robe that I wear every day! I own the white one but the pink robe is just as cute!

TAKE A NICE LONG BATH

This is the time to go all out! Get your favorite drink (maybe some wine – I mean, who doesn’t love a nice glass of wine?!), turn on some of your favorite music or grab a good book (need book recommendations – check out my list at the very end of my post), light that candle and try out a new bath bomb. Don’t forget to grab a couple snacks! Some of my favorites are dried fruits, dark chocolate and some nuts! If you have children (that are either old enough or can be supervised by your significant other or a babysitter) now’s the time to lock that door!

DRY BRUSH SESSION

If you don’t know what I am talking about or have never tried dry brushing… I highly highly suggest it. One of my girlfriends introduced me to it about a year ago and I’ll never turn back! Not only is it relaxing but it also makes your skin feel amazing! They are not expensive and work wonders to your skin and body! I ordered mine directly off Amazon

TREAT YOURSELF TO A FACE MASK OR EYE MASK

If you can’t tell, I love skincare. I really “treat myself” to good products that actually do something for my skin. If you need recommendations on a good face mask or eye mask, check out my blog posts!

PRACTICE YOUR GUA SHA SKILLS

First off, can anyone really call themselves an “expert” in this? I don’t think so. You would not believe how many videos I’ve watched to try to prefect this and trust me, I still struggle! Anyways, this is so relaxing to me. I really take the time to be mindful and present. Not interested in the gua sha stone (like this one), check out a jade roller (linked here). I have both and prefer the stone to the roller, but to to each his own!

GET SOME REST

The best way for me to decompress is to get some good sleep. If that means, taking a quick nap or going to bed early… Either way, you will feel so much better when you get up! Trust me! Need some tips on some sleep aids, I got you! Check out my post
